Good Luck Stories
What brings you luck? Iconic New York label Tory Burch wants to know, in celebration of the brand’s new Good Luck trainer as part of the Fall 2021 collection. The Tory Burch Good Luck trainer has the shape of a wishbone embedded in its sole, a design that encourages forward momentum – the physical manifestation of lucky being what you make of it.
Through personal stories from icons of a new era and generation – Ella Snyder, Ajani Russell, and Ashe – we explore how they perceive, harness, and create their own luck. In three dreamy films directed by Emily Lipson, the malleable, personal, and expansive concept of ‘luck’ is unstuck – from a lucky number, archival piece of clothing, or daily ritual and favourite quote, to an intimate life moment.

“Luck is the stars aligning,” says the singer-songwriter Ashe. Here, she shares the stories of her lucky scalloped green underwear she donned for her Royal Albert Hall performance, and how fashion brings her closer to herself and her decided fate.
The actress, model, and skater Ajani Russell tells tales of the sentimental objects that bring her faith, good fortune, and an affinity to others, like her personal gratitude journal. “Luck is the perfect combination of desire, intentions, timing, and action,” she says.
34 is model Ella Snyder’s enduring lucky number, tattooed on the back of her arm. In this dreamy visual, she shares the perfect places for nurturing her creativity, and the important rituals that have to happen before she goes to find her own luck in the world.
