This Thursday marked the annual celebration of Earth Day, meaning that attention this week has been heavily focused on the role of overconsumption within the world of fashion. And one person who appears to be embracing this philosophy of lessening our clothing consumption was Paris Hilton, marking a breakaway from the infamously decadent shopping habits since her Y2K days.

Over the next week, the socialite is partaking in the #FashionMindfulness challenge launched by online consignment store thredUP, and kicked things off wearing a delicate blue-and-white dress from the secondhand retailer while posing in the sunny environs of her California home. Also in the mix? A pair of Valentino rockstud heels, and her signature hashtag: #lovesit. So do we!

Speaking of Earth, someone else basking in the beauty of nature this week was Kristen McMenamy. The model was spotted sitting in a garden and drenching herself in some early summer rays, wearing a floral print dress with lime green tights and pigtails, before making sure to protect her famous face with some rimless purple glasses.

Someone else stepping outside—albeit not quite all the way to the great outdoors—was Katie Ruensumran, also known by her Instagram handle @katieismonster. The street style icon and designer behind The Meaning Well wore her own creation, a beautiful floral print frock, on the streets of London. Finally, Lizzo gave us not just a look to remember, but also some powerful words. The fresh-faced popstar sipped on some bubble tea while wearing a colorful top, and wrote the following caption: “Hi. I felt helpless today. I changed my hair color and did my makeup and made funny faces to make myself laugh. It’s the least I could do. If you haven’t done anything nice for yourself today this is your sign to find a light. Black girls, I love you.
