Fans and fellow musicians are grieving the loss of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison, whose body was found by police Friday (May 11) near South Queensferry.
“Depression is a horrendous illness that does not give you any alert or indication as to when it will take hold of you,” Hutchison's family said in a statement. “Scott battled bravely with his own issues for many years and we are immensely proud of him for being so open with his struggles. His willingness to discuss these matters in the public domain undoubtedly raised awareness of mental health issues and gave others confidence and belief to discuss their own issues.”
Belle and Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch, Snow Patrol, alt-J and more took to Twitter upon hearing the tragic news to share their heartfelt tributes. See them below.

Terribly sad to hear the news regarding Scott Hutchison. As mentioned before, we didn’t know each other personally – but there is always empathy and a bond between fellow touring musicians, especially contemporaries of a similar age group, so this hits particularly hard.
