Over the past year, the wedding-world has been a topsy turvy one. Nuptials, if not outright cancelled, have been rescheduled and reimagined due to the pandemic. But it hasn’t all been bad. As people pay less attention to the wedding industry and put more emphasis on what suits them as a couple, bridal fashions have never been so modern.

In a timely release well ahead of peak wedding season, designer Simone Rocha has partnered up with luxury retailer MyTheresa on an exclusive wedding capsule collection. Though it’s not the first time the Irish designer has dressed a bride (we’re reminded of the gossamer gown she made for Laila Gohar’s Spanish wedding), this is Rocha’s first dedicated collection of bridal.

The capsule, which can be ordered online, translates some of Rocha’s signature looks from her spring 2021 collection into eight wedding-worthy pieces. The range includes five dresses that feature beautiful rose and blush-colors, paper-thin organza embroideries, and pretty tulle and taffeta embellishments. And to accessorize, faux pearl-encrusted pieces: a regal headband, a pair of showstopping earrings, and a barrette. In a full circle moment, modeling the collection is Gohar, Rocha’s original bridal muse.

When it comes to wedding dress shopping online, Tiffany Hsu, MyTheresa’s fashion buying director, offers some advice. “Start your search quite in advance, as even for online shops they may take some months to be produced,” she explains. “If you can’t find the perfect size, go for bigger rather than smaller as you can always have it fitted perfectly for you—keep your budget in mind including possible tailoring at the end.”

Rocha’s collection ranges $110 to $1,720. Preview her romantic pieces here today and shop it tomorrow.
