Philadelphia 76ers’ D-League Team Extends Tryout Offer to Lil B, He Accepts

Long before the Based God was putting (very real) curses on NBA teams, he was actually making efforts to be part of one. Back in 2012, Lil B made the local news when he tried out for the Golden State Warriors’ D-League team, the Santa Cruz Warriors. Well it looks like history is about to repeat itself, except this time he was asked to tryout rather than the other way around.

The Delaware 87ers—the D-League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers—reached out via Twitter to extend an offer to try out for the team to Lil B. The tweet featured an image of an official invitation to the team’s tryouts on September 19 in New Castle, Delaware. The Based God quickly tweeted back with a response, accepting their generous offer.

There’s no doubt that Lil B has had quite the significant impact on the NBA without even having to step on a court, so we can only imagine what kind of impact there would be if were to get a chance to grace a basketball court with his presence.
