…plus all the other fashion news you missed this week

Just days into the UK’s second lockdown, in the thick of a painfully drawn-out US presidential election, Christopher Kane read the room and decided to be the fashion saviour we’ve all been waiting for. Dropping his latest More Joy collection today, AW20’s offering is essentially a self-isolation starter kit featuring pyjamas, blankets, aprons, coasters, and vinyl slipmats. As usual, everything is emblazoned with the Scottish designer’s signature ‘More Joy’, ‘Sex’ and ‘Special’ logos – aka the mantra we’ll all be repeating to beat the seasonal depression and general 2020 malaise while stuck at home this winter.

Elsewhere in fashion this week, NYC’s luxury fashion stores, including the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Dior, have boarded up their windows and cleared out all stock in anticipation of civil unrest after the US election results, and No Agency created a dystopian short film called Spectacular Reality, in which models attended a ‘casting’ to speak on behalf of a cyborg political leader. Tbh, that one hits a little close to home right now.

On a brighter note, Burberry revealed it’s teaming up with footballer and activist Marcus Rashford to feed and support youths all around the world. Catch up on the best of the rest in the gallery below.
