It’s a tragic day for baseball followers as TMZ is reporting that MLB infielders Luis Valbuena and Jose Castillo have been each killed in a automotive crash in Venezuela yesterday (December 6).
According to the report 33-year-old Valbuena and 37-year-old Castillo have been killed after leaving a Venezuelan league sport and their driver drove off the highway after both hitting a rock or swerving in an try and keep away from the hit.
The driver, teammate Carlos Rivero, survived the wreck.
The MLB launched a press release Friday morning, saying, “We are saddened by the tragic information that Luis Valbuena and former main leaguer José Castillo have died in a automotive accident.”
