Calibre 50 Introduces Its New Vocalist – Tony Elizondo

The Sinaloan Regional Mexican band Calibre 50 has finally found their new vocalist! After their former vocalist and songwriter Edén Muñoz’s departure, the group called for auditions for its next singer. And after a little bit over a month, Calibre 50 has finally revealed their newest member during a press conference today (March 1): Tony Elizondo from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

In the revealing post, Calibre 50 tells their fanbase: “Today we begin a new chapter in our career, we welcome @tonyelizondo_. Now he can say #YoSoyCalibre50 [#IAmCalibre50].” The new vocalist has since changed his Instagram handle to “Calibre50Tony,” making it official.

The 20-year-old singer’s dream is coming true, already having a reputation in his hometown for performing at local parties. His Instagram account showcases him dressed up and performing at small parties, and features raw covers of Sinaloan banda La Adictiva. And, of course, of Calibre 50, too. He’s about to go from zero to 100 with his content — we can already see the increment of followers on his social media pages.

In his latest Instagram post, Elizondo shows his audition for the auditions call and thanks everyone who supported him — especially those who rooted for him from the start. “My audition for Calibre 50. I am very happy just to have been part of this great story. I feel like a winner for having shared the taste of music. Thank you very much for the support of all the people who have taken the time to encourage me, I love you all very much and I hope you continue having a great day. I appreciate and admire you with all my heart. Thank you very much for your kindness and humbleness,” he expresses in his post.

We are so ready to hear Elizondo’s voice on Calibre 50’s next single and to see him perform live! Cheers to a life-changing competition that has graced the life of Tony Elizondo. Who would’ve thought?
