Meet Melany Rivera, Brianna Leah, Jenni Hernández and Thais Rodriguez. Together, they make up Bella Dose, the world’s first-ever bilingual Latine pop group. On TikTok, they boast nearly two million followers, many of whom request the cover songs the group performs on the social media platform.

Since posting their first video on TikTok in March 2018, Bella Dose has covered everyone from the Jackson 5 to Ariana Grande to Billie Eilish and share some of their own songs like “Comfortable,” “What About Me,” and “Muevelo.” They also do choreographed dance routines and lip-syncing, but it’s the harmony they create together on TikTok that is the most impressive.

Bella Dose was formed in 2017 when Vicky Curiel, who is now the CEO of International Hub Records, brought the Miami foursome over to Los Angeles to start working on their music and creating their brand.

During a recent interview with Glamour Magazine, the young women, who are between the ages of 18 and 23, talked about their musical inspirations and what it feels like being the first Latina pop group in music history.

“It feels amazing to represent our culture and people,” Rodriguez says. “We truly take pride in who we are, so it’s incredible that we can portray that through our music by combining both languages and many genres.”

Rivera described the group as “fierce, determined and ambitious” and named Britney Spears and Jennifer López as singers she has admired since she was a little girl. Additional musicians some of the other bandmates mentioned include Etta James, Beyoncé, and Selena.

“We are working on so much music,” Rivera says. “What we’re releasing next is very different from what we’ve released in the past. So, expect the unexpected.”
