Latin American rock legend Gustavo Cerati has long deserved a documentary deep dive, and it seems he’s finally getting his due. Back in July, National Geographic Latinoamérica announced that the Soda Stereo frontman would be the focus of an episode of their docuseries BIOS, which explores the life and legacy of various cultural icons. As previously reported, producer Sebastián Ortega was granted access to the singer’s archives, which include home videos and unreleased songs, as well as new interviews with Cerati’s inner circle. The network is working directly with the Ceratis, who opened their personal collection for National Geographic to use exclusive footage.

Now we’ve got the first look at some of that exclusive material, as Nat Geo just released an initial teaser for the two-hour episode. The 30-second clip shows Gustavo filming his son, Benito Cerati Amenábar, on his first birthday in 1994. While not much else is revealed in the teaser, the clip ends with the announcement that the episode will air sometime in November.

Cerati died in 2014 after suffering a four-year coma induced by a stroke. Since then, several tributes to the Argentine icon and Soda Stereo have come to life, including a Cirque Du Soleil show. Keep an eye out for more info on the premiere, which is expected to air across Latin America only.
